ABOUT

Adel Sansur was born in Jerusalem . His affinity for art was readily apparent early in his life. Sansur says he paints from the soul and is often controlled by the mood and feelings of the moment . His works include expressionistic and abstract subjects among others and are predominantly made with oil paints .
Sansur studied medicine and emigrated to the United States in the early 1970s. His medical career spanned two and a half decades. Throughout this time however, he incessantly would draw and paint anything of interest to capture the beauty of the moment. Adel Sansur's love for art eventually won over his medical career and since 1998 he has been devoting his life to painting full time and to running his studio in Reisterstown, Maryland.
